Here are his top five tips:
- Be clear about your talent management objectives and what your senior team supports;
- Build your talent management strategy around your needs, not your competitors;
- Think objectively about the business problem you are trying to solve, and the easiest possible way to solve it;
- Performance management does not need to be complex. Keep it simple;
To radically simplify performance management; set great goals, offer coaching during the year, and a fair evaluation of performance at the end of the year.
