How XREF integrates with PageUp

Setup

Getting set up is a simple, four-step process:

Xref provides PageUp with the customers package IDs and labels.
PageUp provides Xref with the customers tenant ID and data centre.
Customer provides Xref with their Client ID and Access Code.
Customer can now use the integration.

How it works

Functional overview:

To send an Xref request in PageUp, navigate to a candidate and select Screening – Request Background/Reference Check.
Choose the Xref package, enter the Cost Centre and select ‘Move Now’ to initiate the request.
To view the status and results go to the candidates profile and filter the History to Background/Reference Check. Select ‘View’ then ‘View the Report’.

Technical overview:

PageUp user requests Xref check in PageUp, the status displayed is ‘pending’.
Xref polls PageUp every 15 minutes to see if any new background checks have occurred in the past 15 minutes. If there is at least one new background check Xref creates a new check using the details provided. PageUp displays ‘new’ status.
Once the candidate submits referee contact details to Xref, a results report url is sent to PageUp with ‘in progress’ status.
Once the reference checks are completed the status in PageUp changes to ‘completed’. PageUp users can use the results report to view and download completed reports.
