New Solution Brings Greater Efficiencies to the Panel Selection Process

PageUp People, a leading multinational talent management solutions provider, today confirmed its ongoing collaboration with the Australian Public Service, Federal and State, and University sectors through the introduction of its improved Panel Selection capability and reporting functionality. This innovative product streamlines organizations’ collaborative hiring processes, enabling  candidate selection panels to easily compare job candidates side by side and make better informed hiring decisions.

With its increased presence in the Australian Public Service sector, as well as partnerships with five of Australia’s top nine universities, PageUp People continues to enhance its capabilities to meet the unique and complex hiring requirements of these sectors. In such organizations, candidate selection is often handled by panels, in which multiple people are expected to review candidates’ competencies against selection criteria at multiple points in the recruitment process. Typically, this process can be time consuming and complicated, as the panel must be able to manage task completion and combine each participant’s feedback to facilitate candidate selection.

PageUp People’s improved Panel Selection feature makes this collaboration easier than ever, giving panel members tasked with reviewing candidates the ability to align criteria-specific feedback to each candidate. During the selection process, key panel members can see the entire panel’s feedback as well as each candidate’s overall collaborated rating. In addition to helping employers select the best person for the role, this process also enables instant identification of qualified candidates, giving organizations greater capability for talent pooling and creating bench strength – a critical advantage in a talent-strapped market.

“By partnering with representatives of our clients in the Public Service and University sectors, we have developed a cutting-edge solution that improves the way panel members work together to evaluate candidates and ensure the right individuals are hired,” said Bryce Dunn, senior vice president for Global Product Management of PageUp People.

“PageUp People remains committed to addressing the unique and complex requirements of the Australian Federal and State Public Service and University sectors by enhancing those key components critical to their success,” added Dominic Toledo, PageUp People’s senior vice president of Sales. “Our Panel Selection improvements deliver the enhanced capability that enables all panel members to easily share their opinions of candidates’ competencies and qualifications to ensure a comprehensive evaluation is completed.”

Delivered as an upgrade to PageUp People’s Unified Talent Management platform, this added functionality requires no additional implementation and is accessed through the same interface with which the company’s clients are already familiar. Although designed in partnership with the Australian Public Service and University sectors, as with all developments in the PageUp People system, commercial clients that rely on multiple people to review and make selection decisions can take advantage of these enhancements as well.

PageUp People’s new Panel Selection feature will be released in November 2013.
