MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – July 4, 2007 – PageUp has today announced the acquisition of leading talent management consulting group, Talent Edge.
The acquisition positions PageUp internationally as both a leading technology provider and talent management consultancy. This combined expertise secures PageUp as a powerhouse in the global talent management market.
Talent Edge’s expertise will bolster PageUp’s consulting division and add depth in experience across the broader PageUp team. The acquisition boosts PageUp staff numbers to nearly 70, located in Melbourne, Sydney, Shanghai and London and increases forecasted revenues to $10 million for the 2007/2008 financial year.
PageUp CEO Karen Cariss believes the synergies that exist between the two companies in terms of vision, philosophies and culture were the deciding factors for the acquisition.
“We have been looking to extend our consulting division for some time and Talent Edge was a perfect fit.
The appeal largely stemmed from their innovative solutions, focus on forming partnerships with clients and approach to building their business.”
Talent Edge’s Capability Framework and Talent Audit, both based on extensive global research of best practice, will now form the basis of PageUp’s People Management Consulting services. Launched in February 2007, Talent Dashboard (now re-named Talent Audit) is a talent management auditing tool that is the first to market of its kind worldwide.
Through an independent and consultative auditing process, the Talent Audit sees a project team review an organisation’s existing talent management policies, processes and application.
The areas of review include: selection, induction and training, development, performance management, retention and succession planning.
Sylvia Vorhauser, Managing Director of Talent Edge, will be appointed to lead PageUp’s People Management Consulting division, adding significant expertise to the senior management team.
