This week we caught up with Marc Effron, President of The Talent Strategy Group to find out what his best practice tips are for effective talent management.

Here are his top five tips:

  1. Be clear about your talent management objectives and what your senior team supports;
  2. Build your talent management strategy around your needs, not your competitors;
  3. Think objectively about the business problem you are trying to solve, and the easiest possible way to solve it;
  4. Performance management does not need to be complex. Keep it simple;

To radically simplify performance management; set great goals, offer coaching during the year, and a fair evaluation of performance at the end of the year.
